XIAOMI MI MIX ALPHA CONSEPT PHONE ( FUTERSTIC REVOLUTION )

                                                           XAIOMI MI MIX ALPHA

Xiaomi Mi MIX Alpha is a smartphone that gives a glimpse of the future. This is no ordinary device, but a unique concept phone with a "wrap-around display" where the screen starts from the front and goes all the way to the back of the phone - that is, almost the entire phone is screen! This is the first phone in the world to use a 108MP camera, and also uses a titanium body, sapphire glass, and cutting edge technologies like ultrasonic proximity sensor and in-display fingerprint.    Although this phone never came into mass production, its technology and design showed the world how far Xiaomi is ahead in terms of innovation. When I saw this phone for the first time, it became my first choice. I could not believe that Xiaomi could go so far. Whether I could buy it or not is a different matter but it became my favorite choice. Firstly when Xiaomi launched Mi Mix 2 and Mi Mix, I was convinced that this company will go very far. The phone was not launched but it proved that in the future we will get to see very good technology in Xiaomi company.

DISPLAY :    display The display is awesome Refresh rate 60Hz Size 7.92 inches flexible full AMOLED Display 180.6, Brightness Xiaomi hasn’t mentioned the exact nits, but it is believed to be ~600 nits typical (peak could be 800+) Color Depth 16.7 million colours (supposedly typical for AMOLED) Touchscreen Capacitive multi-touch, edge-detection and pressure sensitive input as well Resolution 2088 × 2250 pixels, Pixel Density ~388 ppi This is no ordinary curved display — the entire phone is a screen! There are touch-sensitive controls on both the right and left edges of the phone (such as volume, notifications, charging animation, etc. are visible on the sides). No notch, no front camera – because you can take a selfie with the rear camera by seeing your face in the back screen. The screen also folds dynamically when the phone is rotated (Xiaomi’s custom MIUI 11 skin was modified specifically for this phone). Edge touch gestures were used for volume and brightness control.  The display technology of the Mi MIX Alpha was a revolution in the world of mobile technology – a screen that not only looked great, but also redefined the UI and user interaction.

Processor : The Xiaomi Mi MIX Alpha was powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Plus processor. It is an Octa-core processor – with 8 cores. CPU configuration: 1x 2.96GHz + 3x 2.42GHz + 4x 1.80GHz (Kryo 485). The processor is built on 7nm technology, which makes it fast and power efficient. It has Adreno 640 GPU which supports high-end gaming. The Snapdragon 855 Plus performs up to 15% better than the regular 855. The AI Engine makes the camera, voice and smart features work faster. It has 5G support via an external 5G X50 modem. The AnTuTu score of this processor is around 480,000+. Overall, this phone was quite powerful in both processing and graphics. The Snapdragon 855 Plus was the most powerful Android processor at the time, and its use in a futuristic device like the Mi MIX Alpha shows that Xiaomi took into account both power and performance, not just design.
Memory : ROM :512 GB/ RAM : 12GB

Camera : It has a 108MP prime camera (Samsung ISOCELL Bright HMX sensor). Along with this, there is a 12MP telephoto lens (2x optical zoom) and a 20MP ultrawide lens. This camera supports OIS, laser autofocus and super macro (1.5cm). The same rear camera is used for selfies as well, with the help of the rear screen. This phone supports up to 8K in video recording.

Battery :
The Xiaomi Mi MIX Alpha was equipped with a 4050mAh nano-silicon lithium-polymer battery, which is capable of storing more power in a small size. This battery supported 40W wired charging for fast charging, which charged the device to a great extent in no time. The phone did not have wireless charging support, but its fast wired charging made it quite fast. The AMOLED screen took over the entire phone, so power consumption could have been high, but the efficiency of the 7nm processor and MIUI optimization kept the battery backup balanced. Xiaomi had designed it for charging via USB Type‑C port. The battery was non-removable, as is the case with most smartphones now. Its thermal management was also better, which generated less heat. Not only this, charging animation was also visible on the side of the screen, which gave it a futuristic look. Overall, the battery capacity of the Mi MIX Alpha was average, but fast charging and new battery tech made it quite powerful.

Build / os version : The Xiaomi Mi MIX Alpha had a premium build quality, with a titanium-alloy frame, ceramic back, and a sapphire glass protection over the camera. The body design was futuristic and sturdy despite the entire phone being covered with screen. The phone weighed around 241 grams and its dimensions were 154.4 x 72.3 x 10.4 mm, which makes it a bit thick. In terms of connectivity, it had Dual SIM 5G support, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.0, and USB Type‑C port. It also had GPS (dual-band), GLONASS, Galileo, and other positioning systems. However, it did not have NFC support, which is a bit of a letdown for a high-end phone. The phone had an in-display fingerprint sensor and multiple audio sensors (like ultrasonic proximity, barometer). The device came with MIUI 11 (custom UI) based on Android 10, which was optimized specifically for its wrap-around display. The user interface intelligently managed content and gestures across different sections. Overall, its build, connectivity, and OS make it a concept-level future phone.
